TEMUCO, PUCÓN & VILLARRICA

Founded in 1881, Temuco is the capital city of the Araucania Region, that in combination with the local areas of Pucón and Villarrica constitute the main tourist core of the region. It is, in this area of the country, where we find latent Mapuche traditions among their people, their culture and gastronomy, as well as the presence of German and Arab communities, providing its very peculiar and heterogenious character. At the foot of the Villarrica volcano is Pucón with the principal tourist attractions in the area. For the most adventurous, rafting down the Trancura river or ascent the Villarrica volcano are great options. For the calmer ones that need some rest, hot springs for all kinds of styles and preferances; always keeping in mind the numerous restaurants that Pucón has to offer and the best hotels to enjoy this wonderful place.
